Position Overview

The General Manager Finance will oversee overall financial planning, budgeting, statutory compliance, accounting operations, auditing, and financial strategy for the Velammal campus/units in Mambakkam. The ideal candidate will be a strategic financial leader responsible for maintaining financial integrity, optimizing operational costs, managing cash flows, and ensuring complete compliance with tax laws and educational trust regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Planning

* Oversee institutional financial strategy, long-term forecasting, and annual operating budgets.

* Drive financial planning and analysis (FP&A;) for campus operations,



infrastructure development, and expansion projects.

* Monitor budget utilization, variance analysis, and operational expenditure across departments.

2. Accounting Operations & Treasury Management

* Supervise day-to-day accounting, fee collections, vendor payments, payroll execution, and general ledger reconciliation.

* Manage working capital, cash flows, and treasury functions to ensure liquidity and optimized yield on funds.

* Maintain institutional bank accounts, banking relationships, credit facilities, and loans.

3. Statutory Compliance & Taxation

* Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and central statutory requirements, including Income Tax (Section 12A/80G for Trusts, where applicable), GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and Skilled Tax.

* Oversee periodic tax filings, assessments, appeals, and statutory audits.
