Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the operation theatre before scheduled surgical procedures.
- Arrange and check surgical instruments, equipment, consumables, and implants as required.
- Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures.
- Maintain strict aseptic and sterile techniques inside the OT.
- Perform surgical instrument counting before and after procedures.
- Operate and monitor OT equipment as per established procedures.
- Assist with patient positioning and transfer under the direction of the surgical/nursing team.
- Prepare surgical sets and ensure proper sterilization of instruments.
- Handle specimens according to hospital protocols and ensure proper labeling and transfer.
- Maintain OT cleanliness, hygiene, and infection-control standards.




- Check the availability and functioning of emergency equipment and supplies.
- Maintain appropriate records, registers, and documentation related to OT activities.
- Assist with postoperative cleaning, disinfection, and preparation of the OT for the next procedure.
- Report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment to the concerned supervisor.
- Follow hospital policies, infection-control procedures, occupational safety standards, and patient-safety protocols.
- Perform other duties related to OT operations as assigned by the supervisor.
