The Manager – Internal Audit will be responsible for planning and executing risk-based internal audits across business functions, evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, and recommending process improvements to strengthen governance and risk management.

Job Responsibility
- Plan, execute, and manage risk-based internal audits across business operations, including credit, operations, finance, collections, treasury, IT, and support functions.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, governance processes, and risk management frameworks.
- Assess compliance with applicable RBI, NHB, Companies Act, and other regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports highlighting observations, root causes, risk implications, and practical recommendations.
- Discuss the queries/report with the Management.
- Preparation and maintenance of Work papers.
- Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and ensure timely closure of audit observations.




- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
- Support the development and execution of the annual risk-based internal audit plan.
- Analyse data using audit analytics and technology-enabled audit techniques to improve audit coverage and effectiveness.
- Explore and adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled tools and analytics to improve audit planning, testing, reporting, and continuous monitoring.
- Stay updated with changes in regulatory requirements, industry practices, and emerging risks relevant to the HFC/NBFC sector.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to building a high-performing internal audit function.Key Skills:Mandatory:
- The role requires solid domain expertise in the Housing Finance/NBFC sector, sound knowledge of RBI/NHB regulations, and the ability to leverage technology and AI-driven tools to enhance audit efficiency.
