About the Role

Wisewit Solutions is looking for a Fisheries Research Analyst AI & Computer Vision to bridge the gap between fisheries domain expertise and AI technology.

The role will involve researching fisheries and aquaculture processes, understanding real-world field challenges, collecting and validating domain data, and working closely with AI/ML and Computer Vision teams to develop practical technology solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of fish/aquaculture species, farming, seafood processing plants, production lines, exports, and fisheries terminology, along with an interest in AI, data and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Fisheries Domain Research
- Research Indian marine, inland fisheries and aquaculture practices.
- Study fish and shrimp species,



production processes, farming practices and harvesting operations.
- Understand fish health, disease indicators, feed, water quality and environmental parameters.
- Research fisheries value chains, landing centres, farms, processing units and field operations.
- Identify operational challenges that can potentially be addressed using AI and automation.

AI & Computer Vision Research
- You will work with AI/ML and Computer Vision teams to translate fisheries requirements into technical inputs.
- Identify suitable use cases for image-based identification, classification, detection and monitoring.
- Help define fish/species categories, attributes, visual characteristics and domain-specific classifications.
- Assist in developing guidelines for image and video data collection.
- Review and validate AI-generated outputs from a fisheries-domain perspective.
