Role Purpose: T his position is responsible for Tyre Engineering / Shop floor Technical Activities of OHT Bias / Radial Tyre process The position required good understanding of Best practices in Tyre manufacturing, Process Specifications, machine set-up, Process Control Plans, Process FMEA.

Routine Responsibilities

- Ensure documentation of issues identified during process industrialization and suggest corrective action.
- Ensure meticulous production and process changes with respect to defect reduction, process improvement, scrap reduction, etc.
- Ensure accuracy and uniformity in troubleshooting and process activities.
- Ensure systematic and timely assistance, analysis and review of abnormalities in production processes with cross functional support and discussions.
- Engage in brainstorming discussions with team to ensure that the product and processes lead to minimal wastages, maximum outputs at minimal costs.
- Continually engage in review and improvement of existing processes and resolving process issues.
- Ensure conducting of trials at multiple times to analyze and review products / processes in detail.
- Propose changes in products and make suggestions based on analysis of test-checks.
- Ensure regular follow-up for performance of tyres produced during productionizing process and provide approval for bulk production in case of positive performance.
- Review and analyze all statistics pertaining to scrap,



process loss and performance.
- Seek approval and sign-off of CFT after presentation of various reports on scrap, process loss,performance, etc. and suggestions to improve the same.
- Manage all changes pertaining to specifications of processes and products and provide a final sign-off for the same.
- Ensure timely preparation of all reports and documents related to results of trails, changes in specifications, process related issues and corrective measures.

Key Performance Indicators : ( KPI)

- Optimize processes to achieve target productivity and quality.
- Set-up machines, processes as per laid down specifications to ensure Quality and productivity as

per targets.

- Trouble-shoot and resolve shop floor problems.
- Continuously monitor defect and scrap trends and implement corrective / preventive actions.
- Suggest improvements to Standards, Specifications for manufacturing of OHT tyres (Bias and

Radials, based on GEMBA observations)

- Identify process capability improvements and execute them in coordination with Mnfg and Quality.
- Reduction in OHT cured tire scrap through processoptimisation and improvements
- Reduction in defects due to process failures / inefficiencies

Qualification: B.Tech. / Diploma

Experience : Minimum 2 years (Foster CFT culture with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality in the shop floor to achieve Targets.)

Knowledge And Skill Set

Technical skills (know-how), Secure machine practice standards, Awareness of technical procedure, Good communication skills,

Trouble-shooting, good knowledge of MS office, SAP, EXCEL, POWER POINT, Mini Tab
