About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Operational Risk Specialist

In this role, you will:
- Manage the development, implementation, and monitoring of a risk-based program for a business or large functional area with moderate to high risk to identify, assess and mitigate operational risk that arises from inadequate or failed internal processes, people, systems, or external events
- Maintain a balance between risk mitigation and operational efficiency
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, systems and internal controls
- Provide operational risk expertise and consulting for projects and initiatives with moderate to high risk
- Analyze business and system changes to determine impact
- Assess operational risk issues and assign risk ratings consistent with established policy standards
- Develop testing strategies and methodologies
- Provide oversight to an operational risk program
- Consult with the business to develop corrective action plans and effectively manage change
- Identify training opportunities




- Design and coordinate the development of training materials and deliver training
- Report findings and draft recommendations to mitigate risk to operational risk and business line management
- Coordinate production of periodic operational risk performance reports for more experienced management, including trend research and recommended strategies
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Operational Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:
- University degree in Business or related discipline.
- 2+ years of overall experience; 2+ years of experience in risk management or Second line of Defense SLOD/RCSA/Issue Management/Fraud Risk/TPRM
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
