Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Copy Editor with solid language editing expertise for our Journals team. The candidate will be responsible for editing scholarly articles to ensure clarity, consistency, grammatical accuracy, and adherence to journal guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform language editing of journal manuscripts for grammar, clarity, tone, and readability.
- Ensure adherence to journal style guides and publisher requirements.
- Edit for consistency, flow, and logical structure without altering the author’s intent.
- Check and correct punctuation, spelling, syntax, and usage errors.
- Ensure proper formatting of headings, tables, figures, and references.
- Coordinate with authors, reviewers, and production teams when required.
- Meet quality benchmarks and turnaround time for assigned tasks.
- Handle multiple manuscripts simultaneously with attention to detail.
