Here’s some of the other things you can look forward to:
- Calculate and maintain customer rebate accruals basis contractual terms (volume, growth, promotional, special rebates)
- Ensure accurate monthly/quarterly rebate provisions in line with sales performance
- Reconcile rebate balances between customer agreements, sales data, and finance records
- Process rebate claims and coordinate with Sales, Commercial, and Controlling teams for validation and approval
- Monitor rebate utilization vs. accruals and identify over/under provisions
- Prepare journal entries for rebate accruals, reversals, and settlements
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies (including revenue recognition alignment where applicable)
- Support audits by providing documentation and justification for rebate calculations
- Maintain and update rebate master data and agreements
- Drive process improvements in rebate process across various segments
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to rebates
- Contribute to RtR month-end activities like accruals,
prepaid journal postings during periods of lower rebate workload
- Analyze rebate trends and provide insights to support commercial decision-making
What do you need to be successful in this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Good understanding of IFRS15, rebate accounting, accruals, settlements, reconciliations, and related financial impacts.
- Knowledge of internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; valuable command of written and spoken English.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is an advantage.
