Description
The role requires management of several projects and becoming involved in design at an early stage. The ability to plan and design deliverables against Finnish Roads & Highways Engineering standards for each stage of a project is a prerequisite, and training and guidance will be provided where necessary. As part of the Nordics Finnish business, the successful candidate will sit alongside colleagues located in our Noida/Bangalore office and work closely with the Finnish colleagues based in Finland. The appointed candidate's primary responsibilities will comprise executing the design activities, i.e., geometric design, roadway modelling and production of design deliverables for Roads & Highways projects based on their lead countries instructions.
Responsibilities
DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT:
- Collaborate with senior engineers and lead country stakeholders to create Urban Roads/ highway design plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Utilize software programs (e.g., Civil 3D. AutoCAD, Novapoint etc.)
to design and draft urban roads/highway layout plans, grading, vertical and horizontal alignments, intersection designs, and other project details include roadway modelling.
- Conduct thorough research to identify the most effective and sustainable method, processes, and design routine for highway tender, construction, and maintenance.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
- Assist for preparing cost and time estimates for highway projects, considering factors such as modelling complications, skills set, time, and environmental impact.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to deadlines and budget constraints. Anticipate and resolve any issues or risks and provide regular updates to senior engineer/ lead country leads.
