Position Name - AM R&D-; Packaging

A packaging development role for home care products ( surface cleaners, air fresheners, aerosols etc) focuses on designing functional, sustainable, and cost-effective packaging that ensure product keeping quality, aesthetics, consumer communication etc.
Core Responsibilities
Design & Innovation: Lead end-to-end packaging projects for current product l (NPD) and existing product development EPD). This includes developing rigid plastics (bottles, jars, tins), flexible packaging (pouches, refills) (mono cartons/Labels) corrugated carton board.
Participate in discussions with marketing for finalizing NPD brief (Formulations and Related activities) from Design stage to implementation.
Should have knowledge of the latest materials being used and the tests to be conducted. Knowledge and information on external Packaging material testing labs

Sustainability And Cost Saving: Drive eco-design initiatives such as PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled)/Extended Producer Responsibility(EPR) adoption, light weighting, recyclability,



and conversion to mono-materials to meet corporate sustainability goals. Work and Conform to the Govt regulations(EPR) on use of recycled plastics
Drive cost saving projects based on technical parameters/Rationalizing of specifications/use of new materials along with Supp

Development Stability And Validation
Plan tests for conducting stability studies of packaging developed.
Plan and execute factory trials, line validations, and transit tests (e.g., drop tests, vibration tests, ESCR, drop test) to ensure stability of the product through the shelf life, leaks, delamination, or damage during transport

Specifications & Documentation: Create and maintain detailed packaging , material specifications as per supplier of the basic material, and Bill of Materials (BOM)

Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Identify and qualify new packaging vendors and collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Quality and Marketing
