Saint Anselm College, a private, liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition, is seeking an Assistant Director of the Career Development Center (CDC). Reporting to the Director of the Career Development Center, the Assistant Director is responsible for planning, implementation, and delivery of innovative, high-quality career and professional development programs and services for students and alumni. The Assistant Director will teach general- elective credit internship courses as needed and provide individual career advising services to students and alumni, support CDC programs, and collaborate with others across campus to enhance student career success.

Characteristic Duties And Responsibilities

Career Advising and Student Support Services

Provide career advising services to students (undergraduate and graduate) and alumni through individual appointments, drop-ins, programs, and special events
Administer and interpret various career assessment tools with students (such as Focus2) and provide guidance on next steps for exploring majors and careers




Partner with Academic Advising on New Student Orientation, especially the Explore program for undeclared majors
Collaborate with Academic Advising and pre-professional advisors on programs and services for students seeking admission to graduate or qualified school
Serve as liaison to the Academic Resource Center and other academic offices for career related programs and initiatives

Career and Professional Development Programs

Plan and implement career education and professional development programs and events to enhance career readiness of all students and career advancement of alumni, including workshops, seminars, events, and panels
Support college-wide initiatives such as Anselmian Journeys
Serve as the point person for the Jean School of Nursing and Health Sciences; lead partnership with the Nursing Department on student preceptorship preparation (resumes and cover letters) as well as develop and maintain
