We have an urgent opening for Engineer / Senior Engineer/Assistant Manager Gearbox Assembly (Wind Turbine Gearbox), Pune Location.

Key Responsibilities

1. Precision Assembly & Bearing Operations
- Perform sub-assembly and final assembly of complex wind turbine gearboxes according to engineering drawings and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Execute specialized handling, alignment, and installation of large-bore tapered, cylindrical, and spherical roller bearings.
- Perform precise axial play, radial clearance, and backlash measurements using dial test indicators DTI), feeler gauges, and depth micrometres, apply required shimming adjustments accurately.
- Ensure strict adherence to ISO fits and tolerances (interference, transitional, and clearance fits) during all mechanical mating operations.

2. Equipment, Thermal & Power Tool Management
- Safely operate industrial heating chambers, ovens, and induction heaters for controlled thermal expansion during shrink-fitting of bearings, gears, and shafts.




- Utilize and oversee the operation of high-capacity power tools, electrical wrenches, and hydraulic torque tools to apply specified torque and tensioning values.
- Maintain, handle, and calibrate precision measuring equipment, including bore gauges, micrometres, temperature sensors, pressure gauges, and industrial endoscopes.

3. Quality, Safety & IMS Compliance
- Uphold and enforce Integrated Management System (IMS) standards encompassing ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Workplace), and ISO 45001 / OSHAS (Health & Safety).
- Conduct process risk assessments, execute non-conformance reviews, and control process deviations on the shop floor.
- Complete daily production logs, inspection checklists, and technical compliance records with high accuracy.

4. Technical Leadership & Process Improvement
- Interpret complex 2D technical schematics, 3D CAD/assembly models, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T;) callouts to guide assembly operators.
