The Fleet Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the operational readiness, maintenance, and availability of all ambulances and support vehicles within the assigned region. The incumbent shall oversee vehicle maintenance activities, monitor fleet performance, coordinate repairs, reduce vehicle downtime, and ensure compliance with statutory and safety requirements. The primary objective of the role is to maintain maximum vehicle uptime and support uninterrupted ambulance operations.

Key Responsibilities
- The Fleet Supervisor shall monitor the daily condition and availability of ambulances and ensure that all vehicles are maintained in roadworthy condition. The role requires close coordination with workshops, technicians, district operations teams, and service providers to ensure timely repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Monitor fleet health and ensure ambulance availability as per operational requirements.
- Ensure Vehicle Off-Road (VOR) percentage remains below prescribed organizational targets.
- Conduct regular inspections of ambulances to assess vehicle condition, cleanliness,



safety, and functionality.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed without exception and maintenance activities are completed within defined timelines.
- Track vehicle breakdowns and coordinate with workshops for timely repairs and restoration of services.
- Analyze recurring mechanical failures and implement corrective measures to reduce repeat breakdowns.
- Monitor engine performance, transmission systems, suspension, brakes, electrical systems, tires, batteries, and other critical vehicle components.
- Verify repair quality before releasing vehicles back into operations.
- Ensure all ambulances are equipped with required tools, safety equipment, and emergency accessories.
- Maintain records of servicing, repairs, breakdowns, accidents, fuel efficiency, tyre replacement, battery replacement, and vehicle utilization.
- Coordinate roadside assistance and vehicle recovery
