Role Overview

We are looking for an R&D-focused; Downstream Process Development Scientist who can independently design and optimize purification processes for diverse recombinant proteins and biologics.

This is
not a manufacturing or production DSP role
. The position is suited for professionals with experience in research laboratories, process development groups, CROs, or biologics R&D; organizations.

Key Responsibilities




- Develop downstream purification processes for recombinant proteins, enzymes, antibodies, and other biologics.
- Design purification strategies based on molecule characteristics and product quality requirements.
- Select and evaluate suitable chromatography techniques and resins.
- Optimize purification parameters to maximize purity, yield, recovery, and scalability.
- Perform laboratory-scale purification using AKTA/FPLC systems.
- Design and execute experiments for process optimization, troubleshooting, and scale-up.
- Interpret purification data and recommend process improvements.
- Prepare technical reports, SOPs, development documentation, and technology transfer packages where applicable.
- Collaborate closely with upstream, molecular biology, and analytical teams across multiple R&D; projects.
