Managing Editor Mathematics (K-12/Academic Publishing)

We are looking for an experienced and driven Managing Editor to lead editorial strategy, team operations, and project execution across our publishing portfolio.

*Singapore experience and trained Maths - is an added advantage*

Key Requirements

University degree (preferably in the relevant teaching subject)

Post Graduate Diploma in Education (advantageous)

4–5 years of editorial experience (content, language, and copy editing)

3–5 years of project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Proven experience in team management

Key Responsibilities

Publishing & List Development





Review and manage backlist; identify opportunities for repurposing

Analyze market trends and competitor activity

Contribute to publishing strategy and product conceptualization

Develop proposals and collaborate with authors and stakeholders

Partner with Sales & Marketing on product positioning

Team Leadership & Operations

Allocate projects and manage team workloads

Mentor and guide Senior Editors and team members

Identify training and development needs

Build robust relationships with authors, freelancers, and vendors

Drive process improvements and operational efficiency

Project & Product Management

Plan, budget, and oversee editorial projects end-to-end

Define workflows, timelines, and milestones

Ensure timely delivery and quality standards

Review manuscripts, proofs, and final outputs

Collaborate cross-functionally to meet business objectives

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

Engage with authors, consultants, and external partners

Negotiate
