Job Summary

Candidate will be is responsible for managing the technical procurement of medical equipment and biomedical devices across the hospital. The role ensures that all purchases meet clinical requirements, quality standards, regulatory compliance, and budget objectives. The incumbent collaborates with clinical departments, finance, vendors, and biomedical engineering teams to support the acquisition, installation, and lifecycle management of medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Medical Equipment Procurement
- Manage end-to-end procurement of medical equipment, devices, and biomedical consumables.
- Prepare annual procurement plans in coordination with clinical and departmental stakeholders.
- Develop technical specifications based on user requirements and industry standards.
- Evaluate quotations, technical bids, and vendor proposals.
- Conduct comparative technical analysis and recommend suitable products.

Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified medical equipment suppliers and OEMs.
- Negotiate pricing, warranty terms, service agreements,



delivery schedules, and payment terms.
- Monitor vendor performance, service quality, and contractual compliance.
- Maintain long-term relationships with strategic suppliers.

Technical Evaluation
- Perform technical assessment of medical equipment during procurement.
- Coordinate product demonstrations, site visits, and clinical evaluations.
- Ensure equipment complies with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Verify compatibility with existing hospital infrastructure and IT systems.

Capital Equipment Planning
- Support annual capital budgeting for biomedical equipment.
- Recommend equipment replacement, upgrades, and technology enhancements.
- Conduct lifecycle cost analysis and return-on-investment (ROI) evaluations.

Contract Management
- Review and manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and Comprehensive Maintenance Contracts (CMC).
