Key responsibilities
- Data analysis and reporting: Collect, validate, and analyze hospital financial, clinical, and operational data. Develop and automate MIS reports and interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
- Financial modeling and performance analysis: Create and maintain financial models for budgeting and forecasting. Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. budget) on profitability and efficiency. Support hospital costing, service-line profitability, and break-even analysis.
- Revenue cycle management: Monitor and analyze the hospital's revenue cycle performance, including billing, claims processing, denial management, and accounts receivable (AR).
- Process improvement and optimization: Use data analysis to identify opportunities for improving operational workflows and optimizing resource allocation. Model hospital performance using computational/statistical methods.

Required skills and qualifications
- Education: A bachelor's or master's degree
- Technical expertise: Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and querying, and experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau. Advanced MS Excel skills are often required.
- Healthcare industry knowledge: Understanding of healthcare finance principles, revenue cycle management, and costing methodologies. Familiarity with hospital information systems (HIS/HMIS) and data from electronic medical records (EMRs) is essential.
- Analytical skills: Solid analytical, problem-solving, and statistical skills to interpret complex healthcare data and provide actionable insights.
