Roles & Responsibilities : -
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, health, environmental (EHS), and statutory regulations, including the Factories Act and other relevant legal requirements.
- Implement and monitor the company's EHS policies, procedures, and safety management systems.
- Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and workplace hazard identification to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform risk assessments (HIRA/JSA) and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, prepare detailed reports, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- Plan and conduct safety induction programs, toolbox talks, refresher training, and safety awareness campaigns for employees and contractors.
- Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety requirements by conducting mock drills, maintaining firefighting equipment, and coordinating emergency response activities.
- Maintain all statutory records,



safety registers, permits, and documentation required by regulatory authorities.
- Coordinate with government authorities, auditors, and inspectors during statutory inspections and audits.
- Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
- Conduct safety committee meetings and follow up on action items.
- Ensure protected work permit systems (Hot Work, Height Work, Confined Space, Electrical Isolation, etc.) are effectively implemented.
- Monitor waste disposal, environmental compliance, and pollution control activities as per applicable norms.
- Promote a proactive safety culture by encouraging employee participation in safety initiatives and reporting of unsafe acts and conditions.
- Analyze safety performance using KPIs and prepare periodic MIS reports for management.
