Role Description
The Healthcare Specialist role is a part time, remote position focused on supporting patients and healthcare teams through professional clinical and non-clinical services. Day-to-day tasks may include providing guidance on basic medical concerns, assisting with triage or patient education, and coordinating care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. The Healthcare Specialist will document interactions accurately, follow established protocols, and escalate complex cases to appropriate medical personnel. This role also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of healthcare practices, participating in training sessions, and communicating clearly with patients and colleagues via phone, email, or virtual platforms. The specialist is expected to follow all relevant healthcare regulations and organization policies to ensure safety, quality, and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Clinical and emergency care skills such as EMT experience and a foundational understanding of medicine.
- Strong communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with patients and healthcare teams.
- Background or experience in healthcare settings, with an understanding of patient care processes and healthcare systems.
- Experience in training or educating patients or staff on healthcare topics, protocols, or preventive care.
- Relevant certification or licensure (e.g., EMT or other healthcare credential) and compliance with local regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time schedules, and use digital tools and electronic health records securely.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient confidentiality, ethical practice, and culturally competent care.
