Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to manage and supervise mechanical maintenance activities in a heavy industrial plant. The ideal candidate should have robust expertise in preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery, with hands-on experience in Coke Oven, Steel Plant, or Heavy Engineering industries. The role requires ensuring maximum equipment availability, minimizing downtime, and leading maintenance teams to support uninterrupted plant operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise day-to-day mechanical maintenance activities across the plant.
- Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
- Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, and material handling systems.




- Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Plan and execute maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
- Lead and supervise maintenance technicians, fitters, and contractors.
- Coordinate with production and other departments to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment history, breakdown analysis, and spare parts inventory.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, maintenance procedures, and statutory guidelines.
- Support the HOD in maintenance planning, manpower allocation, budgeting, and technical decision - making.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant productivity and equipment reliability.
