Responsibilities :

1. Implementing, monitoring workplace safety programs across plant facilities.

2. Lead risk assessment initiatives like Hazop, HIRA, JSA studies for plant operations.

3. Enforce statutory compliance

4. Manage hazardous chemical safety protocols, and cultivate a zero-harm safety culture.

5. Strict enforcement and auditing of Safe Work Permit Systems (Hot Work, Confined Space, Height Work, Line Breaking).

6. Drive BBS programs to foster proactive hazard reporting and eliminate unsafe acts and conditions.

7. Ensure PPE requirements, proper selection, inventory, and usage across all chemical processing and handling areas.

8. Carry out Internal Audit and ensure compliance and facilitate external ISO 45001 (OHSMS) audits

9. Lead incident/near-miss investigations using Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

10. Lead periodic mock drills, Fire Drill and update the On-Site Emergency Plan.





11. Ensure 100% compliance with local legal requirements, New OHSWC Code & Rules.

12. Develop training calendar & deliver training to all employees & contract workers.

13. Carry out safety committee meeting & prepare MOM.

14. Conduct PSSR & Implementation of MOC.

Skill Required :

1. Good knowledge of chemical process safety management (PSM) & Work Place Safety

2. Strong proficiency in RCA tools (5-Why or Fishbone).

3. Working knowledge of ISO 45001 management systems.

4. Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional conflict-resolution skills.

5. Valuable knowledge of Excel & PPT

6. Implementation background for RC, PMS and IMS will be added advantage
