Job Purpose

To support the development and execution of the organization's risk-based audit plan by evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, governance frameworks, business processes, and regulatory compliance. The role is responsible for driving audits across functions and branches, identifying process improvement opportunities, strengthening risk management practices, and providing actionable recommendations to senior management and the Audit Committee.

Key Responsibilities

1. Audit Planning & Risk Assessment
- Engage with business and functional stakeholders to understand current processes, systems, products, emerging risks, and operational challenges.
- Review previous audit observations, regulatory findings, risk assessments, and business priorities to identify key focus areas.
- Conduct research on industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices to incorporate into audit planning.
- Contribute to the development of the annual risk-based audit plan covering:
- Regulatory compliance
- Internal policies and procedures
- Operational controls

- Governance processes
- Assist in presenting audit plans to the Audit Committee and ensure timely communication of approved audit schedules to stakeholders.

2. Audit Execution & Reporting
- Lead and execute audits of business functions, branches, operational units, and support functions.
- Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of:
- Internal controls
- Risk management frameworks
- Business processes
- Information systems
- Regulatory compliance mechanisms
- Conduct process walkthroughs, control testing, transaction reviews, and root-cause analysis.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, intermediaries, and channel partners where required.
- Benchmark controls and practices against industry standards and regulatory expectations.
