The Paint Shop Director is responsible for leading the overall performance of the Paint Shop (BIW & Plastic Painting of EV and Escooter), ensuring excellence in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Maintenance, People and other business factors.

The role is accountable for achieving production targets, driving operational excellence, developing organizational capability, and supporting VinFast's production ramp-up and future expansion.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all Paint Shop operations, including BIW and Plastic Painting, to achieve SPQDCM targets.
- Ensure stable production, manufacturing readiness, and support production ramp-up and capacity expansion.
- Drive process excellence across Pretreatment, ED, Sealer, Primer, Basecoat, Clearcoat and Plastic Painting.
- Improve quality performance by reducing defects, rework, warranty issues and process variation.




- Maximize equipment reliability and OEE through effective maintenance and engineering management.
- Control manufacturing cost by optimizing paint, chemicals, utilities, energy, manpower and productivity.
- Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental and statutory requirements while promoting a Zero Accident culture.
- Build and develop a high-performing organization through coaching, accountability and performance management.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational excellence.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Production, Automobile or related discipline). MBA is an advantage.
- Minimum 18 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, including 8 years in Paint Shop leadership.
