The Plantation Accounts Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting operations of the plantation and associated factory activities. The role includes financial reporting, budgeting, cost control, inventory accounting, statutory compliance, payroll coordination, vendor management, and ensuring accurate accounting of plantation operations. The position requires close coordination with plantation management, factory operations, procurement, stores, and the corporate finance team.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting
- Manage end-to-end accounting operations for plantation and factory activities.
- Ensure timely recording of all financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts, cash books, and general ledger balances.
- Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.

Plantation Accounting
- Account for plantation development expenses, cultivation costs, harvesting expenses, and estate maintenance costs.




- Monitor labour costs, field expenses, fertilizer consumption, pesticides, fuel, and machinery expenses.
- Maintain accurate cost records for plantation and processing operations.
- Analyse cost per hectare, cost per kilogram, and operational efficiencies.
- Coordinate with estate managers for financial planning and expenditure control.

Inventory & Cost Control
- Verify inventory of tea leaves, fertilizers, chemicals, packing materials, spare parts, fuel, and consumables.
- Reconcile physical stock with book stock.
- Monitor stock movement and investigate variances.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimise losses and wastage.

Budgeting & MIS
- Prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor actual expenditure against budgets.
- Generate MIS reports for management review.
- Analyse operational costs and recommend cost optimisation initiatives.
