Production Manager – Key Roles & Responsibilities (Apparel Manufacturing Unit)
- Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly production activities.
- Allocate work to masters, tailors, helpers, and finishing teams.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned timelines.
- Coordinate with designers and stylists to understand production requirements.
- Verify patterns, measurements, fabrics, and trims before production starts.
- Monitor cutting, stitching, finishing, ironing, and packing activities.
- Ensure garments meet quality standards before dispatch.
- Minimize production defects, alterations, and fabric wastage.
- Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and resolve production bottlenecks.
- Maintain optimum manpower utilization and productivity.
- Supervise and guide masters, tailors, and workshop staff.
- Conduct daily production meetings and assign priorities.
- Coordinate with the stores team for timely availability of raw materials and accessories.




- Monitor machine maintenance and report breakdowns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with production SOPs and safety standards.
- Maintain workshop discipline, cleanliness, and housekeeping.
- Track daily production reports and submit updates to management.
- Coordinate with HR regarding attendance, leave, and manpower requirements.
- Ensure on-time completion and dispatch of customer orders.
- Train and develop production staff to improve efficiency and quality.
- Drive continuous process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Handle production-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure effective communication between production, design, quality, and management teams.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
