The Assembly Fitter is responsible for the mechanical assembly of LT electrical panels, Active Harmonic Filter (AHF) panels, Static Var Generator (SVG) panels, control panels, and related electrical enclosures as per approved engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. The role involves assembling sheet metal enclosures, mounting electrical components, busbars, cable ducts, and accessories while ensuring safety, workmanship, and timely production.

Key Responsibilities Assembly
- Assemble electrical control panels, AHF, SVG, PCC, MCC, APFC, and other electrical panels as per approved GA and fabrication drawings.
- Mount electrical components such as MCCBs, MCBs, contactors, relays, SMPS, cooling fans, terminal blocks, CTs, HMIs, and other accessories.
- Install DIN rails, cable ducts, busbar supports, mounting plates, and brackets.
- Perform panel alignment, door fitting, gasket fixing, and hardware installation.
- Assemble copper and aluminium busbars using approved hardware and torque specifications.
- Carry out drilling, tapping, cutting, riveting,



and minor fabrication work when required.
- Ensure proper labeling and identification of panel components.

Quality & Workmanship
- Follow approved assembly drawings, BOM, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and cleanliness.
- Report missing materials, drawing discrepancies, or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Conduct self-inspection before handing over the panel for wiring or testing.
- Ensure all fasteners are tightened as per specified torque requirements.
- Prevent damage to components during assembly.

Safety
- Follow all safety procedures and wear prescribed PPE.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized workplace following 5S practices.
- Report unsafe conditions immediately.
