Job Summary:

Sonawane Group, a leading real estate development firm, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our accounts & finance team. This role will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support the company’s growth. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in real estate accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting
- Daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance and journal entries.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
- Ensure smooth month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Conduct account reconciliations and financial analysis to support business decisions.

Taxation & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, GST, and corporate tax filings.




- Liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities for financial audits and reporting.
- Stay updated on accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory changes impacting the real estate sector.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Monitor payment schedules for vendors, contractors, and clients, ensuring timely transactions.
- Implement effective cash flow management strategies.

Project Accounting:
- Track project costs, revenue recognition, and expense allocations for ongoing developments.
- Handle escrow accounts, lease accounting, and financial reporting for real estate projects.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate and transparent financial tracking.

Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
