Job Summary

The Maintenance Mechanical Fitter is responsible for carrying out preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Install, repair, and maintain pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and other plant machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out necessary repairs.
- Replace worn-out machine parts and ensure proper alignment and fitting.
- Assist in equipment installation, commissioning, and shutdown maintenance.
- Maintain maintenance records and report equipment issues.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping practices.




- Coordinate with the Maintenance Engineer and Production team to minimize machine downtime.

Qualification
- ITI – Fitter / Mechanical Trade (Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is an added advantage).

Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a metal, steel, foundry, or heavy manufacturing industry.
