Senior Optometrist & Patient Counsellor

Qualification

• B.Optom / M.Optom from a recognized institution

Experience

• 2–4 Years of clinical experience as an Optometrist

• Experience in an Eye Hospital or Corporate Ophthalmology Clinic preferred

? Shift 1: 10:00 AM – 07:00 PM

Or

? Shift 2: 12:00 PM – 09:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Optometry

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations, refraction, and binocular vision assessment

• Diagnose and manage refractive errors and common ocular conditions

• Conduct diagnostic tests including OCT, Visual Fields, Corneal Topography, A-Scan/B-Scan

• Prescribe spectacles, contact lenses, and low vision aids

• Identify cases requiring ophthalmologist consultation or surgical intervention

• Mentor junior optometrists and clinical staff

Patient Counselling





• Counsel patients regarding Cataract, LASIK, Glaucoma, Retina, and other eye surgeries

• Explain surgical procedures, premium IOL options, risks, benefits, and post-operative care

• Address patient concerns and assist in treatment decision-making

• Prepare and explain surgery packages and quotations

Insurance & TPA Coordination

• Coordinate pre-authorizations and cashless insurance approvals

• Liaise with TPAs and insurance companies for smooth claim processing

• Guide patients regarding insurance coverage, documentation, and co-payments

• Review medical documents before submission and resolve insurance-related queries
