BP’s Business Technical Centre (BTC) in Pune is an integral part of the Oil & Gas Technology (OGT) division,



whose aim is to support the delivery of bp’s ambitions and 2025 strategic shift to grow the upstream, strengthening bp’s industry-leading capabilities in imaging technology. OGT is one of eight Technology Function sub-entities designed to enhance oil and gas delivery by advancing technology solutions in partnership with the operating teams in Production & Operations including TSI in Pune, and others in Sunbury (UK) and Houston (US).

Overall OGT has the three technical hubs (BTCs): Houston, Sunbury and Pune. OGT makes up the Applied Sciences and Technology group alongside Fuels & Low Carbon Technology and Electrification & Castrol Technology, whose remit is to create, commercialize and support the products, processes and technology platforms that give bp competitive advantage and enable our transformation to a net zero, integrated energy company.
