Role Description
The Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruppur, responsible for overseeing end-to-end garment production for Virupa’s product lines. Day-to-day tasks include planning production schedules, coordinating with pattern makers, tailors, and suppliers, and ensuring that quality standards, timelines, and cost targets are consistently met. The role involves monitoring fabric and trims procurement, managing workflow on the floor, troubleshooting production issues,



and optimizing processes for efficiency. The Production Manager will closely collaborate with the design and merchandising teams to translate design concepts into feasible production plans, maintain accurate production documentation, and support continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Qualifications
- Experience in apparel or textile production management, ideally in ethnic or women’s wear.
- Strong skills in production planning, workflow management, and resource allocation.
- Knowledge of garment construction, fabric behavior, quality control methods, and finishing processes.
- Ability to coordinate with vendors and internal teams, with effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with basic production tracking tools, spreadsheets, and documentation.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and capacity to work in a rapid-paced environment.
