Job Summary

The Sales Officer is responsible for achieving sales targets, developing the assigned territory, managing distributors, increasing retail coverage, ensuring product availability, and building robust customer relationships across Puducherry. The role involves extensive field travel and effective execution of the company's sales strategy within the FMCG and Beverage market.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales Target Achievement
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Drive primary and secondary sales growth.
- Increase market share within the assigned territory.
- Execute sales plans to meet business objectives.

Distributor Management
- Appoint and develop distributors.
- Maintain strong relationships with distributors.
- Monitor distributor inventory levels and ensure timely stock replenishment.




- Support distributors in achieving sales targets.

Retail Market Coverage
- Visit retail outlets as per the approved beat plan.
- Increase numeric and weighted distribution.
- Identify and onboard new retail outlets.
- Ensure product availability across General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), and HORECA channels, where applicable.

Merchandising & Visibility
- Ensure proper product placement and shelf visibility.
- Implement merchandising standards.
- Execute trade promotions and marketing campaigns.
- Monitor display compliance at retail outlets.

Market Development
- Identify new business opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and promotional schemes.
- Conduct market surveys and submit market intelligence reports.
- Expand the company's presence in the assigned territory.

Collections & Credit Control
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
