Roles and Responsibilities :
- Procurement of Standard / Non-Standard Engineered components & Fabrication Items for pump assembly and conversant with ASTM standards in various grades of Carbon steels, Martensitic steel, Stainless steel, Duplex Stainless steel, Monel, Inconel, Alloy steels, etc.
- Active procurement Handling of Components such as O-Rings / Gaskets / Fittings/ FRP & Sheet Metal Fabrication Comp / Electric Cables / Cable Glands / Flanges / Fabrication Components & etc.
- In-Dept Knowledge of Forging / Machining / Fabrication.
- Conversant with Quality aspects of Sheet Metal Fabrication, Forging, Machining Components, Base Plate & other Fabrication Items, etc. (Chemical, Physical, Mechanical & NDE Testing).
- Conversant with Engineering Drawings.
- Basic knowledge of WPS/PQR.
- Lead negotiations, process & capacity audits for the assigned commodity & suppliers.
- Ensure timely execution of projects and proactive communication.
- Evaluate suppliers and propose alternate source to secure supply chain.
- Inventory optimization.
- Drive cost improvement opportunities.




- Increase the performance of the supply base in the areas of quality performance, reduction of lead times and reduction in inventory requirements.
- Planning for procurement and ensuring the receipts of material to meet the CDD.
- Providing inputs to marketing to quote recent enquiries, co-coordinating and providing inputs to design, related to casting dimensions.
- PO Generation using SAP.
- Follow up with supplier for timely delivery of material.
- Co-ordination for payments of suppliers with finance department
- Monitoring & reporting progress of procurement activities to Management whilst promote trust, collaboration, win-win situations.
- Negotiating with suppliers in respect of conditions of supply, mode of payment, credit terms, discount, packing & freight forwarding, etc.
- Rejection analysis and get corrective & preventive action done from supplier end.
- Coordination with Planning, QA,
