Role Description
We are looking for an experienced
Splunk Consultant
with
8–12 years of overall software development experience
and proven expertise in
Splunk administration, log optimization, and ingest reduction strategies
. The ideal candidate should be
currently working as a Splunk Consultant
and have hands-on experience in analyzing log sources, reducing unnecessary data ingestion, optimizing indexing, and improving Splunk platform performance while maintaining business and security requirements.





This role requires someone who can collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and DevOps teams to refine logging standards, optimize Splunk architecture, and reduce operational costs associated with excessive data ingestion.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing Splunk deployments and identify opportunities to reduce data ingestion volume.
- Design and implement strategies to optimize Splunk licensing by eliminating unnecessary logs.
- Review application, infrastructure, middleware, and security logs to identify redundant or low-value data.
- Configure and optimize Splunk Forwarders, Indexers, Search Heads, and deployment architecture.
- Implement event filtering, routing, transforms.conf, props.conf, and ingestion-time filtering.
- Optimize parsing, indexing, field extraction, and search performance.
