Position Overview

We are looking for management accountant with robust experience in preparing management accounts, finance packs, funding statements, cash flow forecasts, and detailed PL variance analysis. Skilled in conducting monthly financial reviews with clients, managing month-end and year-end close activities, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Experienced in VAT compliance, statutory accounts preparation, and posting accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and other period-end journal entries. Proficient in balance sheet, bank, and intercompany reconciliations, nominal ledger reviews, and fixed asset accounting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly Finance Packs including funding statements, cash flow forecasts, PL variance analysis, and management commentary to support business decision-making.
- Conduct monthly client review meetings to discuss financial performance, PL results, balance sheet movements,



and key business insights.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments, journal entries, reclassifications, and other accounting adjustments.
- Prepare and review quarterly VAT returns and annual statutory financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform detailed nominal ledger reviews to ensure transactions are accurately recorded and coded in the correct accounting period.
- Complete bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations, investigating and resolving outstanding reconciling items.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and calculate depreciation accurately in accordance with accounting policies.
