Plant Head | Tobacco Manufacturing | Jammu (Relocation Required)

A quick-growing tobacco manufacturing company is looking for an experienced
Plant Head & Business Head
to lead its manufacturing operations in
Jammu, J&K;
.

This is not a conventional plant management role. We are seeking a leader who thinks and operates like an owner—someone who can take complete accountability for plant performance, profitability, sourcing, and strategic execution while building the foundation for the company's next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end plant operations across
Primary Manufacturing (PMD)
and
Secondary Manufacturing (SMD)
.
- Drive production efficiency, quality, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Take full ownership of the plant's
P&L;
, cost optimization, productivity, and financial performance.
- Lead tobacco sourcing activities, including participation in tobacco auctions and supplier relationship management.




- Coordinate with an established international industry partner to ensure operational excellence and adherence to quality and delivery standards.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing manufacturing leadership team while managing labour relations effectively.
- Deliver structured operational and financial reporting to senior leadership with complete ownership of day-to-day decision-making.

Ideal Candidate

✔ Proven experience leading a manufacturing unit with full
P&L; ownership

✔ Background in
tobacco, cigarettes, or a comparable regulated FMCG manufacturing environment

✔ Experience working with international partners, JVs, or technical collaborations is highly desirable

✔ Strong leadership, team-building, and labour management capabilities

✔ Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently in a promoter-driven organization

✔ Willingness to relocate and be based full-time in
Jammu
