Role Overview

We are looking for a New Product Development & Sourcing Specialist to own the end-to-end journey of getting a product from concept to shelf — supplier identification, sample development, cost negotiation, quality control, and compliance. You'll work directly with the founder on category strategy and be the primary link between our product vision and our manufacturing partners across India and overseas (China/ Vietnam/ others).

Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Identification & Vetting:

Identify, evaluate, and onboard design-capable manufacturers across China (Yiwu, Guangzhou, Ningbo, other clusters) and India for categories including organisers, storage, dustbins, cleaning products, and other home/ kitchen essentials.
- New Product Development:

Work with suppliers on sample development, iterate on design/ material/ functional specs, and manage the sample-to-production handoff.
- Cost & Negotiation:





Own FOB/ landed cost negotiations, MOQ discussions, and payment term structuring; validate COGS against target margins and marketplace fee structures (Amazon, Flipkart, D2C)
- Compliance & Quality:

Navigate BIS/ QCO requirements across material categories (steel, plastics, ceramics), coordinate FMCS/ compliance applications, and manage quality control (inspections, pre-shipment checks)
- Vendor Management:

Manage ongoing supplier relationships, resolve quality/ delivery issues, and build a reliable, scalable vendor base
- Contracts & Documentation:

Support OEM contract structuring (IP/mould ownership, compliance obligations) and manage import documentation (HSN codes, duty structures, customs)
- Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work closely with founder/leadership on category prioritization, current product launches, and competitive/category research
