The Role

The Head of Procurement owns Novel spends on materials. You will consolidate what is today a fragmented, plant-led buying process into a single professional sourcing function with a real vendor base, real contracts and a measurable cost curve.

You report directly to the Founder and will build a team of 7–8 under you.

Candidate Requirements

Must have
- 8–15 years in procurement or sourcing, including 5+ years leading a procurement function or category
- Background in FMCG, hygiene products, personal care.
- Demonstrated cost savings you can quantify with real numbers
- Robust commercial negotiation ability — this role is judged on what you save




- Working knowledge of BOM structures, costing and landed cost calculation
- Comfortable in a manufacturing environment and on the shop floor
- Based in or willing to relocate to Mysuru

Good to have
- Direct experience with baby diapers, wipes, sanitary or incontinence categories
- China sourcing and import handling experience
- ERP experience (SAP, Tally Prime, Zoho, or similar)
- Engineering or science graduate; MBA in Operations/Supply Chain is a plus

Who this is not for
- Someone who has only raised purchase orders against a pre-decided vendor list
- Someone who wants a large existing team and established SOPs on day one
- Someone unwilling to be present at the plant
