Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development and maintenance of AS/400 (IBM i) applications using RPG IV, CLP, and DDS—ensuring performance, scalability, and compliance with audit standards.
- Architect and implement modernization initiatives including screen-to-web conversion, API exposure via HTTP/HTTPS, and integration with cloud-native platforms (Azure/AWS).
- Manage and mentor junior AS/400 developers, enforce coding standards, and drive CI/CD adoption for legacy codebases using IBM i Access Client Solutions and up-to-date DevOps tooling.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate complex financial and operational requirements into efficient, error-free RPG logic and database design (DB2 for i).
- Perform root cause analysis, performance tuning,



and system troubleshooting across IBM iSeries environments with high uptime SLAs.
- Drive migration projects from green-screen interfaces to modern UIs using Node.js, React, or Angular—while preserving core business logic and data integrity.
