Role Description
The Area Sales Manager role at AKIRA India is a full-time, on-site position based in Punjab, India. The Area Sales Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets, managing distributor and retailer relationships, and driving market expansion for Akira’s pet food brands. Daily activities include planning and executing sales strategies, monitoring sales performance, conducting field visits, and identifying new business opportunities.



The role also involves coordinating with internal teams for product availability, promotions, and market feedback, while ensuring robust brand visibility and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in area or regional sales management, preferably in FMCG, pet food, or related consumer products.
- Strong skills in sales planning, territory management, and channel development.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with distributors, retailers, and key market stakeholders.
- Data-driven approach with competence in sales reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Comfort with frequent field travel within Punjab and strong understanding of local markets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
