We're looking for an
Academic Lead
who enjoys thinking deeply about teaching and learning, has strong pedagogical judgement, and can lead both people and academic quality across projects.

What you'll do

As our Academic Lead, you will:
- Lead the academic direction of multiple education projects from concept to completion.
- Guide the development and review of:
- Student books and learning materials
- Teacher lesson plans and classroom resources
- Teacher career development sessions, courses and learning journeys
- Assessments and other academic content
- Lead academic brainstorming, curriculum design and pedagogical decision-making across projects.
- Create academic frameworks, templates, quality standards and review processes that improve consistency across teams.
- Ensure all content is research-backed, pedagogically sound, practical and of a consistently high quality.




- Review and provide feedback on content developed by the academic team.
- Manage and mentor a team of Academic Associates, Academic Programme Associates and Senior Academic Programme Associates, including both in-office and remote team members.
- Work closely with project managers and leadership to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone with
strong general academic and pedagogical expertise
, rather than deep specialisation in just one school subject.

You should have:
- A strong understanding of how students learn and how teachers teach.
- Good working knowledge across school subjects, with the curiosity and willingness to learn unfamiliar content when required.
- Strong pedagogical judgement and the ability to evaluate the quality of educational resources.
- The ability to simplify complex ideas and create practical, classroom-ready mate
