The Azure DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and supporting DevOps capabilities to enable the migration of services from Azure IaaS to Azure PaaS. The role focuses on creating robust Azure DevOps pipelines, automating build and deployment processes, and supporting secure integration between Azure-hosted services and systems outside of the Azure tenant. The role will help improve delivery speed, consistency, security, and operational resilience across modernised cloud services.
Key Responsibilities
•Design, build, and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines to support the build, test, release, and deployment of services migrating from Azure IaaS to Azure PaaS.
•Implement and support CI/CD processes across application, integration, and infrastructure components using Azure DevOps and YAML-based pipelines.




•Support migration teams in transitioning services from VM-based or manually deployed solutions to automated, platform-managed deployment models.
•Configure and maintain secure service connections, deployment credentials, managed identities, and secrets management to enable integration across internal and external services.
•Support integration between Azure services and systems outside of the Azure tenant, including APIs, on-premises platforms, and cross-tenant services.
•Implement release controls, approval gates, automated testing, rollback mechanisms, and setting promotion processes to improve deployment quality and resilience.
•Work closely with architects, developers, and service owners to align deployment pipelines with target platform designs and operational requirements.
•Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline failures, deployment issues, configuration drift, and integration problems across development, test, and production environments.
