The Role

We are looking for a dynamic,



digitally-savvy Anchor/Reporter to serve as a key face and voice

for Headline8. The ideal candidate will have a sharp editorial instinct, a commanding on-camera

presence, and a passion for unpacking complex political and policy developments for a digital

audience. You will split your time between the anchor desk and the field, delivering high-impact

explanatory journalism.

Key Responsibilities

∙
Anchoring & Presentation:
Host daily news packages, explanatory video segments, and

digital-first broadcasts with authority, clarity, and an engaging on-camera presence.

Field Reporting:
Pitch, research, and report on ground-level stories, political

developments, and public policy issues across Assam and the wider Northeast region.

∙
Explanatory Journalism:
Break down dense policies, historical context, and political maneuvers into accessible, structured narratives for our audience.
