Role Overview
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our Investment Banking team. The role involves supporting financial analysis, valuation, financial modeling, transaction execution, industry research, and preparation of client-facing materials.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Financial Modeling, Valuation, and Capital Markets, with excellent analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed financial analysis of companies, industries, and business segments.
- Develop and maintain financial models, including 3-statement models, DCF, and comparable company analysis.
- Conduct company and industry research using financial databases, annual reports, investor presentations, and market sources.
- Support M&A;, Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Debt Capital Markets (DCM), and other investment banking transactions.
- Prepare valuation analyses using DCF, Trading Comparables, Transaction Comparables, and precedent transactions.
- Analyze income statements, balance sheets, cash-flow statements, and key financial ratios.
- Assist in preparing pitch books, management presentations, transaction materials, and client presentations.
- Perform market research and benchmarking to identify industry trends, competitors, and business opportunities.
- Support due diligence activities and analyze financial information received from clients.
- Assist senior bankers with transaction execution, financial analysis, and preparation of client deliverables.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data across models and presentations.
- Track relevant market developments, corporate actions, M&A; transactions, and industry trends.
- Work closely with internal teams and senior stakeholders to deliver high-quality outputs within tight deadlines.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of Investment Banking and Corporate Finance.
- Excellent knowledge of Financial Modeling and Valuation.
- Hands-on experience with DCF, Comparable Companies, Precedent Transactions, and financial ratio analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, financial formulas, data analysis, and financial modeling.
- Good working knowledge of PowerPoint for creating presentations and pitch books.
- Ability to analyze P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and financial statements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to M&A; / ECM / DCM / Corporate Finance transactions.
- Knowledge of Capital Markets and Investment Banking products.
- Experience working with financial databases such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, Refinitiv, or PitchBook.
- Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or VBA is an advantage.
- CFA / CA / MBA Finance / Master's degree in Finance or related qualification is preferred.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- MBA Finance, CFA, CA, or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
