We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Manager with robust hands-on experience in utility-scale Solar PV electrical design. The candidate should have expertise in designing complete electrical systems from PV modules and inverters up to HT/HV evacuation and grid interconnection.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design for utility-scale solar PV projects.
- Design/review DC & AC systems, string sizing, inverter selection, DC/AC cable sizing and layouts.
- Prepare and review SLDs, electrical layouts, cable schedules and equipment specifications.
- Design/review 33kV/66kV/132kV/220kV HT/HV systems, pooling substations and evacuation systems.
- Review transformers, HT panels, RMUs, switchgear, protection, earthing and lightning protection.
- Conduct/review load flow, short-circuit, voltage drop and protection coordination studies.
- Coordinate with DISCOMs/STUs, consultants, vendors and project execution teams.
- Support SCADA, PPC, SLDC/RLDC and grid connectivity requirements.
Required Experience & Skills
- B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- 9–14 years of experience, preferably in utility-scale Solar PV design.
- Strong experience in Solar PV electrical design and detailed engineering is mandatory/preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD and ETAP/ PVsyst or PVcase.
- Good knowledge of CEA regulations, IS/IEC standards and grid connectivity requirements.
- Experience with 33kV to 220kV evacuation systems will be an added advantage.
