Role Objective

The Head of Design Fa ade will be responsible for leading the fa ade design team and managing the complete design process for unitised curtain wall and other fa ade projects. The role will ensure that all design deliverables are timely, accurate, technically compliant, coordinated, and constructible, while supporting smooth execution across design, production, procurement, quality, and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the fa ade design team and manage day-to-day design activities.

- Manage detailed design, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings.

- Review and approve drawings, design calculations, and technical submissions.

- Coordinate with architects, fa ade consultants, structural engineers, clients, and project teams.

- Ensure all design deliverables are completed as per project schedules, specifications, and quality requirements.

- Provide technical guidance to the design team and resolve design-related issues.

- Coordinate closely with production, procurement, quality, and site teams for smooth project execution.

- Support value engineering initiatives and develop cost-effective fa ade design solutions.

- Ensure accurate preparation and timely handover of BOMs, cutting lists, fabrication drawings, and related production information.

- Support factory and site teams during fabrication, installation, and project execution.

- Lead, mentor, and develop designers, draftsmen, and design engineers.





- Establish and maintain design quality standards and processes.

- Identify potential design issues at an early stage and minimise errors, rework, material wastage, and project delays.

- Ensure effective communication and coordination between the design team and other departments.

- Participate in project reviews and provide technical inputs to management as required.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

- 10 15+ years of relevant experience in fa ade design, preferably with experience in fa ade manufacturing and execution.

- Solid hands-on experience in unitised curtain wall and stick curtain wall systems.

- Proven experience in leading and managing a fa ade design team.

- Strong knowledge of fa ade detailing, materials, systems, and relevant design standards.

- Experience coordinating with architects, fa ade consultants, structural engineers, clients, production teams, and site teams.

- Knowledge of ORGADATA is preferred.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.

- Strong understanding of shop drawings, fabrication drawings, BOMs, cutting lists, and as-built documentation.
