What You’ll Do
Collaborate with Product Line Managers to understand product requirements, business objectives, and market-driven feature needs, and translate them into technical requirements and system-level architectures. Define and maintain the digital architecture, technology roadmap, and platform strategy for Medium Voltage Switchgear and Distribution Transformer product portfolios.
Establish reusable architecture frameworks and technology building blocks that can be leveraged across multiple product families to improve scalability, interoperability, maintainability, and time-to-market.
Drive architecture decisions related to embedded systems, IoT connectivity, industrial communication protocols, cybersecurity, edge computing, remote monitoring, and intelligent asset management.
Lead architecture reviews and provide technical oversight throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure alignment with approved architecture, product requirements, and business objectives.
Act as the technical authority for digital product initiatives and guide engineering teams in making sound architectural and technology decisions.
Provide technical mentorship and coaching to system, hardware, firmware, software, and validation engineers during product development and technology investigations.
Collaborate with global engineering teams to evaluate emerging technologies and assess their applicability to future product and platform developments.
Drive technical innovation through identification, evaluation, and adoption of current technologies that create customer value and strengthen product competitiveness.
Support development teams in resolving complex system-level technical challenges and trade-off decisions.
Promote architecture governance, design best practices, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement in development processes.
Contribute to intellectual property creation through patents, technical disclosures, and innovative technology solutions.
