Role Overview
The Lab Assistant / Laboratory Technician will be responsible for supporting the smooth functioning of the assigned laboratory, assisting faculty members during practical classes, maintaining laboratory equipment and records, ensuring laboratory safety, and supporting students during practical sessions.
The candidate's educational background must be relevant to the laboratory for which they are being appointed.
Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Operations
Assist faculty members in conducting practical and laboratory sessions.
Prepare laboratory equipment, instruments, tools, chemicals, software, and other materials before practical classes.
Ensure proper functioning and availability of laboratory equipment.
Assist students during practical sessions and provide basic technical guidance.
Maintain laboratory cleanliness, discipline, and proper organization.
