Job Description

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Engineer with solid expertise in IEC 61850 to join our Grid Automation/Substation Automation product development team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and testing embedded software solutions for Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) used in Substation Automation Systems (SAS). The role requires deep knowledge of embedded systems, real-time operating systems, communication protocols, and IEC 61850 standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain embedded software applications using C, C++, and Embedded C.
Develop and enhance firmware running on RTOS-based platforms (FreeRTOS or equivalent).
Implement, integrate, and troubleshoot IEC 61850 communication protocols, including MMS and GOOSE messaging.
Develop and validate Client/Server communication models in IEC 61850-based systems.
Configure, analyze, and manage IEC 61850 data models, logical nodes,



and SCL files (ICD, CID, SCD).
Design and develop software for IEC 61850-compliant Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs).
Perform debugging and root-cause analysis using JTAG/SWD and other embedded debugging tools.
Develop and optimize TCP/IP networking applications, including socket programming and HTTP/HTTPS-based communications.
Conduct unit, integration, system, and interoperability testing with third-party IEC 61850 devices and SCADA systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including system architects, QA engineers, product owners, and field engineers.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
Ensure software quality through code reviews, documentation, static code analysis, and adherence to secure coding practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics & Communication,
