Role Description

Director of Platform Architecture Who We Look For We are looking for a Director of Platform Architect to define, build, and evolve the cloud platform and internal developer platform that underpin UST FinX’s engineering organization. This is a senior, hands-on technical leadership role — not people management. Your influence comes from designing robust platform foundations, making sound architectural decisions, writing production-grade code and infrastructure, mentoring engineers, and raising the engineering standard across multiple pods. You own the technical vision for our platform engineering capabilities: AWS architecture, Kubernetes runtime environments, infrastructure as code, GitOps, CI/CD, observability, security, and developer experience. You build reusable capabilities serving multiple teams, products, environments, and client implementations — not one-off projects. You understand that a platform is an engineering product used by other engineers: it must be secure, reliable, observable, automated, documented, and easy to consume.



You stay close to implementation — reviewing architecture, writing code, building infrastructure modules, improving pipelines, and debugging production issues. In an AI-assisted development environment, you apply strong engineering judgment to validate, refine, and reject generated outputs so components meet strict standards for correctness, resilience, security, and maintainability.
